It is on Palm Sunday that we entered Holy Week, welcoming Jesus into our lives and asking Him to allow us a share in His suffering, death, and Resurrection. This is the time of the year when we stop to remember and relive the events which brought about our redemption and salvation. 

Christ begins his passion with a procession of humility.

As we follow in spirit the journey of the Lord this week – may we see the great lengths that Christ would go to save us.

Let us imitate the devotion and love of Mary as she journeys with her son, let us gather around the altar to be fed as the disciples were. Let us keep vigil and watch in prayer. Like John let us set out with Mary and follow the Lord to Calvary. Let us show love and compassion to others, as Jesus did in the midst of his own sufferings.

We will crucify our Lord with our sins, he will pardon us from the cross. Like Joseph and Nicodemus – let us provide a place for the Lord to slumber and like Mary Magdalene – weep at the tomb.

With shock and joy let us announce to others – I have seen the Lord – may his risen life continue to transform us.

Es en el Domingo de Ramos cuando entramos en la Semana Santa, dando la bienvenida a Jesús en nuestras vidas y pidiéndole que nos permita compartir su sufrimiento, muerte y resurrección. Este es el tiempo del año en el que nos detenemos para recordar y revivir los acontecimientos que nos trajeron la redención y la salvación.

Cristo inicia su pasión con una procesión de humildad.

Al seguir espiritualmente el camino del Señor esta semana, que podamos reconocer hasta dónde llegó Cristo para salvarnos.

Imitemos la devoción y el amor de María en su caminar junto a su Hijo. Reunámonos en torno al altar para ser alimentados como lo fueron los discípulos. Mantengámonos en vela y en oración. Como Juan, emprendamos el camino junto a María y sigamos al Señor hasta el Calvario. Mostremos amor y compasión a los demás, como lo hizo Jesús en medio de su propio sufrimiento.

Crucificaremos al Señor con nuestros pecados, pero Él nos perdonará desde la cruz. Como José y Nicodemo, ofrezcamos un lugar donde el Señor pueda descansar, y como María Magdalena, lloremos junto al sepulcro.

Con asombro y alegría anunciemos a los demás: ¡He visto al Señor! Que su vida resucitada siga transformándonos.
